At some point we stopped blaming ourselves. The dress wasn't wrong, and neither were we — it was made for an idea of a woman that doesn't actually exist.
The more we talked about it, the more we heard the same thing from friends, from cousins, from strangers in fitting rooms: clothes cut for one body, one height, one narrow definition of what "flattering" is supposed to mean.
So we started choosing differently. Every piece in our boutique is picked by women, for women — for how it moves, how it sits, how it makes you feel at hour eight, not just how it photographs in the first five minutes.
